
Implement new operational models and structures to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance service to patients. Collaborate with Physicians and clinical staff, to address and respond to patient care needs and issues. Participate in physician recruitment activities, and contract negotiations, as needed. Evaluate practice efficiency including all personnel (physicians, clinical and administrative support staff) utilizing accepted quality measures, productivity standards, skill mix comparisons, and patient satisfaction survey data. In conjunction with Senior Director of Practice Operations, assumes P&L responsibility to include completing the annual operating and capital budgets with the VPPO, COO, and Budget Manager.

Works with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues and develop performance improvement plans.

Establishes budgeted staffing level for each assigned practice, works in close concert with the recruiter to recruit, select and hire all staff. Prepares business plans, provider contracts in Salesforce, and management of market leases. KEY Responsibilities: Direct all functions of physician practice operations in a designated Steward Physician Market.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Practice Operations at Steward Medical Group, the incumbent will have support and autonomy to handle current challenges, and to help recruit and grow the practices. In addition, the Associate Director of Practice Operations will play a leadership role in provider recruitment, creating and executing a strategic plan and identifying and implementing business development strategies to promote growth, improve quality and system performance. POSITION Summary: The Associate Director of Practice Operations is responsible for overall operational, financial, quality and service performance in the various physician practice markets/locations.
